Board of Directors

Board members are elected in staggered terms to serve for three years. The board is comprised of up to fifteen directors, five of whom are officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board Liaison. The Watauga Humane Society is fortunate to have such a wonderfully dedicated group as our Board of Directors.

"The purpose of the Watauga Humane Society is to provide care for unwanted animals, have them spayed and neutered to cut down on the animal population, to provide medical care for shelter animals, educate the public about the importance of caring for their animals, and help prevent animal abuse. The Board of Directors is needed to direct these activities and to raise money to care for the animals and to continue existing programs."
