Here at WHS, we believe that by working to improve animal welfare, we are not only saving the lives of animals who need our help, but also helping our community.
We have made the following changes to our operations to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, community members, and our animals.
Our new hours of operations are Tuesday - Saturday, 12:30pm to 5:00pm. We are completely open to the public, with no appointments, however we do ask all visitors to wear masks while inside the building as well as practice social-distancing. Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the building.
Due to higher than normal phone calls, we have added an FAQ Page and a Contact Us Page to assist with general questions. We also encourage in-person visits if you are unable to reach us or find your answer via our website. Messaging on our social media outlets such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok are not regularly monitored, and should not be used for regular communication.
Due to limited spay and neuter services available to us, we are no longer able to take DOGS into our spay/neuter program for the remainder of 2021. Please check back with us at the beginning of 2022 for a status update. To make a reservation for your cat, email firstname.lastname@example.org with “Spay/Neuter” in the subject line or call 828 264 7865, during hours of operation, Tuesday through Saturday,12:30 - 5:00 pm.
