We're Out of Words But Franklin The Turtle Still Waits.
We've said it all. We've told his story from the very beginning: the embedded harness, the infections, the tapeworm (because of course), the healing, the hope.
We've called him an underdog, a legend, a cuddle-powered old man with a mumble and a mission. We've written posts with tears in our eyes and jokes in our pockets. And somehow... he's still here.
Franklin the Turtle is seven years old. His joints are stiff. His heart is good. His tolerance for nonsense? Low. But his capacity for love? Unstoppable.
He has arthritis and anxiety, and sometimes he cries when you leave him along. He guards his toys like museum exhibits, and e snores like a lawnmower. He's absolutely perfect.
We're not going to sugarcoat it, he needs someone. Now. A home where he's the only pet, with a human who's around more often than not. Someone who enjoys leisurely walks and is ready for a "senior" with a surprising amount of pep still in his step.
November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, and through the end of the month, all pets age 7 and up have a reduced adoption fee of just $25.
Thank you, Donna Breedlove, for sponsoring this heartbreak wrapped in a snort. Let's find his miracle.
