Bear is sponsored by Penny Salyer. AND Bear is sponsored by Dr. Chelsey Sturgill. AND Bear is sponsored by David Matar. AND Bear is sponsored by Debra Aaron in memory of Tigger.
Bear has been here long enough that, by now, we thought he would've been noticed. Long enough to be adopted, long enough that a sponsorship would've already wrapped around him like a bear hugs.
But not yet.
So this is us, giving Bear a little extra volume. Because somewhere, maybe someone is scrolling late at night, looking for a pup just like him.
Bear came to us with his three siblings when their owner could no longer provide care. Change like that can shake a dog. And while Bear can be shy at first, once he decides you're his person, he's all in. He doesn't just greet you, he embraces you with his whole heart The kind of hug that makes his name feel less like coincidence and more like destiny.
He's high energy, yes, but he walks beautifully on leash. In foster, he proved he can learn the rhythm of a home. A few early accidents, then he was heading to the door like a pro. Left alone, he didn't redecorate. Just missed his person a little. (Fair.)
Bear thrives on movement and mental challenge. A Kong toy? Excellent. ?? A sturdy chew? Essential. Structure helps him shine.
We're hoping someone will choose to sponsor Bear; to stand beside him while he waits for the right match. Because sometimes the dog who hasn't been noticed yet is the very one someone's been searching for all along.
Bear is an 86 pound, 10-month-old, neutered male pup who has been in our care for 68 days.
