rike is the definition of cute, adorable, and NEEDY! He love his time outside investigating every smell, but the second he turns around and spots you again, he comes barreling back like you've reunited after a ten-year separation. This happened approximately every three minutes and forty-two seconds.

He has the most soulful eyes that tell the tale of a dog who's known pain.

He was found as a stray with his front leg completely shattered. And although, thanks to nerve damage, he no longer felt pain, it is painfully clear that at some point he was in total agony for an extended period of time.

His leg healed terribly, the muscle completely atrophied, and because we simply cannot say no, we said yes. And as we speak, he is in surgery getting the leg amputated so he can move about this world freely and be the puppy he deserves to be.

Please hold some good thoughts for him today, and for our accountant, who is slowly but surely, going bald and gray from all the medical cases we have taken on this year.
