Meet Hermes - The Gentle Soul With a Soft Start and a Big Heart
Hermes arrived with his companion Moose after their owner had to make a difficult lifestyle change. Understandably unsure at first, Hermes walked into the intake office a little standoffish-but it didn't take long for his walls to melt. Within minutes, he was leaning in for pets, soaking up affection, and showing everyone just how sweet he really is.
Hermes is housebroken, has lived successfully with cats, and does well with other dogs. He's been crated before and does fine, though he can get a little anxious since he wasn't crated often in his previous home. Outside, he was trusted off-leash and stayed close, a testament to his gentle nature and desire to be near his people.
A small food-bowl misunderstanding years ago with a pet sitter was mentioned, but he's had no ongoing resource-guarding issues and has shared space peacefully with both dogs and cats since. Overall, Hermes is the kind of easygoing, affectionate dog who could fit beautifully into many types of homes.
If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion who warms up quickly and bonds deeply, Hermes is ready to begin his next chapter with the family who sees just how special he is.
