Baked Alaska is sponsored by Karen Bobbitt.
Baked Alaska is not, in fact, a dessert. Though she is soft, a little delicate, and currently giving "please handle with care" energy.
She was found as a stray, and she's carrying that uncertainty with her. She wants to be your friend, you can feel it, but she's cautious. The kind of cautious that suggests she may have been let down before.
When she arrived, she was pretty matted. She had clearly missed a few grooming appointments (we're not judging, we've all been there). And before anyone comments on the haircut, we know. We actually think it makes her cuter. It's giving "fresh start" in the best way. We aren't pros, but we do our best!
Once cleaned up, her relief was palpable. She leans into touch along her back like it's something she hasn't felt in a long time. It's tender to witness.
We've only just met her, but we already know: a dog like Baked Alaska is going to make someone incredibly happy.
Karen Bobbitt, thank you for sponsoring Baked Alaska. Your kindness is helping this sweet girl step into her next chapter feeling a little lighter, a little braver, and very much seen.
Baked Alaska is a 40 pound, 12-month-old, un-spayed, female pup who is waiting on her spay surgery before becoming available for adoption. Check our website as it gets updated several times a day.
