The Eleanor "Dee" Dundon fund is in loving memory of Dee who worked tirelessly for the animals of the High Country. Her passion for animals was unwavering and was pivotal in fulfilling the mission of Watauga Humane Society for over 45 years.
Dee was a pioneer towards a better future for homeless animals, and was instrumental in building the foundation of this organization. She not only paved the way for animal lovers, but united them through her 18 years as the WHS Board President and through several more years of volunteer work both on and off the board.
Dee dedicated herself in many ways to support animals and the people who love them, including the Meals on Wheels program which assisted in bringing pet food to homebound pet parents. Dee knew that pet homelessness could only end through proper education and community support which is why Dee fully immersed herself in spay/neuter efforts.
Preventing unwanted litters is the first step towards preventing unwanted and homeless pets. In honor of Dee, help the spay and neuter community and shelter pets through your generosity by going to http://weblink.donorperfect.com/RedBirdDee
