Please join us for our 2022 annual meeting. We will meet just outside the doors of the WHS Turchin Room, in the courtyard, at 5:30 PM.

We will be sharing information from fiscal year 2021-2022, to include:

  • Annual Report by Monique Eckerd, WHS President
  • Financial Report by Joyce Ogburn, WHS Treasurer
  • Committee Reports
  • Election of new Board of Director Members

Stacy Brooks

Stacy has been involved with the Humane Society since 2005-Dog Park member, adopter, and foster pet parent. Stacy has experience in planning events and fundraising through other community-based organizations.

After rescuing a dog from a reservation, Stacy stated “the experience taught me how much a dog can make a difference for a person’s life and how much a person can do for a dog. WHS serves both people and animals with compassion for all to benefit.”

Stacy looks forward to working with committees and being more involved with WHS.

Lewis Alexander

After practicing law for many years, Lewis is now a lecturer in the App State College of Business. Lewis and his wife have adopted several older dogs-giving these pets a peaceful life as they age.

Lewis states “I know the importance of organizations and facilities such as WHS, and I want to be a major and constructive part of the future plan. I have much life experience to contribute, but, more importantly, a lot of caring and excitement.”
