Brace Yourselves—Kitten Season is Coming!
As the days get longer and the weather warms up, we enter a time affectionately (and sometimes exhaustingly) known as Kitten Season. Typically stretching from March through October, this period brings a purr-liferation of adorable (yet vulnerable) kittens into shelters.
Why Should We Care?
While kittens are undeniably cute, this season presents real challenges:
- Shelter Overcrowding – A kitten boom means limited space, stretched resources, and more tiny mouths to feed.
- Health Vulnerabilities – Newborns arrive fragile, with weak immune systems. Even with our best care, the risk of illness is high.
How Can You Help?
Supplies Galore – We need:
- Kitten milk replacer (KMR)
- Tiny bottles + nipples
- Heating pads (those tiny beans can't regulate heat!)
- Soft blankets & cozy beds
