Meet Jason Funderburker.
Yes, THE Jason Funderburker.

He arrived with no backstory, no monologue, no dramatic flashback sequence. Found as a stray and briefly hosted by a kind stranger, he now graces our adoption center with his presence, mysterious, untold, and mildly chaotic.
We don't know much about who Jason was before. So we gave him a name befitting who we imagine he might be.

Jason Funderburker is the kind of guy who wears a velvet smoking jacket (in his mind) and solves minor neighborhood mysteries-but dramatically. He probably hosts secret dinner parties for woodland creatures and definitely has opinions on classical piano. He knows where the tennis ball went. He just isn't telling you.

He's also heartworm positive, and we're seeking a foster home to help him through treatment. Heartworm is completely curable with appropriate veterinary care-typically a series of three injections over three months. The most important thing? Keeping him calm and low-key while he heals. (Yes, even drama kings must rest.)

Right now, he's decompressing, getting his bearings, plotting his next arc, possibly composing a memoir. But we can already tell: this kid's got range.
